Will the Zubie device drain my car battery?

Updated over 10 months ago

The Zubie device is specifically designed to minimize battery drain.

When your car is off, the Zubie device spends most of the time in "sleep mode” consuming approximately 5 mA of battery current. If a low battery condition is detected, the Zubie device sends an alert and then enters a “deep sleep mode” consuming approximately 0.6 mA of battery current. For comparison, a typical car consumes 30 to 50 mA of battery current when the engine is off.

So we are ensuring that we alert you to a possible battery problem, but are also ensuring that we do not contribute to the problem.
