Universal Search Field

Selecting the highlighted option above allows you to search for any vehicle on your live map. You can search for your Vehicle Nickname, VIN# of the vehicle, and the Device # (Serial Number) of the device plugged into a vehicle.

Selecting the magnifying glass turns on our Universal Search, which allows you to search for many aspects of your Zubie account. This includes:

  • Vehicles

    • VIN#

    • Vehicle Nickname

    • Device # (Serial Number)

    • License plate

  • Assets

    • Asset Nickname

    • Device # (Serial Number)

  • Users/Drivers

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email Address

  • Places

    When the magnifying glass is selected, you will noticed that the search field will show Recently Viewed options.

You can now tap the camera icon next to the search field to scan text or barcodes directly into the Universal Search. This includes VINs, license plates, or serial numbers printed on devices or assets. The app will extract the scanned text automatically and display matching results.

FAQ

I cannot find my vehicle.

  • Use other data points to search. For example, if you can’t find your vehicle by searching for the nickname, try to search for the VIN# of the serial number of the device plugged into the vehicle.

I am experiencing issues or bugs with the search field.

Does it matter which page I am on when I use the search field?

  • No. You can be on any page of our application and the search field will work normally.

Are there any differences between using the search field on a computer or the app on my smartphone?

  • No. The search field works exactly the same no matter what device or internet browser you are using.
