Zubie offers a Y-cable for stealth installation of your OBD device. Follow these instructions to install your OBD device using the Y-cable.
Install Your Device
Locate the OBD-II port. Press the tabs of the OBD-II connector on each side, and push the connector out the back of the face plate.
Connect the single end of the Y-cable to the connector you’ve just removed.
Select the y-cable connector with clips that match your vehicle’s original OBD-II port connector. Snap it into place where the original connector was located.
Attach your Zubie device to the unused Y-cable port and wait for 3 minutes. You should see lights on the device during this time.
After 3 minutes, turn your vehicle on and allow the vehicle to idle for a few moments.
Now you can hide the device and Y-cable behind the face plate where you snapped in the decoy OBD port. Use the zip ties provided to secure it in place.
